Abstract acrylic on canvas painting with bold strokes of red, blue, black, and orange against a mustard yellow background. The sweeping, textured brushstrokes create a striking contrast of color and movement.

How does one say something without saying it?

In a course called the Wisdom Course, we explored various types of communication. For instance, your representational language speaks about something, your generative language creates something, and your immediate language emanates something. Imagine your immediate language being like your vibe or your energy. It’s not your body language or your words, it’s what radiates from you.

For this painting I asked myself “How can I ‘write’ a sentence in immediate language? What would that look like visually?”
