About transforming those areas of your life where you realize you are not operating at your best. It's about growth and acknowledging where you have to go and how.

I was trying out a new style when I completed the first layer of this painting. It was bold and colorful and I wanted it to look as though you were viewing colorful and fun organisms under a microscope. There were little buzzing shapes all over the canvas and I felt it needed something more. My first pass for the final layer was with my new tool, a cement trowel, and it was exciting. I created this painting in front of a group of friends who were a mix of doctors and artists, whose discussion was about how their fields intersected.

This piece was also favored by the program direction of the Arts History Program at Villanova University when he visited my exhibit. His compliment included comparing my work to Robert Rauschenberg and Jasper Johns. A comparison I will always be grateful for.
