Abstract acrylic on canvas painting with a stark black and white base, contrasted by vivid streaks of blue and yellow. The layered brushstrokes create depth and texture, evoking a sense of movement and contrast between light and dark elements.

I was emoting onto the canvas during a time when I felt trapped by my living situation. I was on the phone as I painted, enjoying the company, and when I stepped back I realized I’d painted a perfect reflection of what I was feeling. This hopeful window amid the rigidity was like my own hope. I did find the end of that situation and sold the painting to someone who loved it.
