The Compatibility Series is a visual aid to express the way two people come together in a relationship. One side is the feminine, the other masculine. Each “brick” is a part of a bar graph of their unique characteristics.

This piece, Incomplete, is about two people who start to get to know one another, and see first where they are not compatible. They give up on their relationship too soon, not knowing that had they continued, their true compatibility would have revealed itself, and they may have found ways of bridging the gaps between them.

They choose to empower their obvious discord over their untapped potential for happiness.

The left stretcher bar of this piece is slightly warped on purpose to represent the beauty and perfection in the imperfect.
