I don’t recall what led to the event or the show at TAG Heuer, but there I was standing with my easel just outside the main entrance. I was trying to be myself and also live up to the brand I was partnering with. I was not new to being an artsit, but still not seasoned yet so I felt I had something to prove.
This piece evolved over the course of the day while I engaged with customers, the staff, was hit on a few times, and also happy for a visit from a friend,
The irony is that halfway through the day the store manager took a great deal of interest and nearly bought the painting, but with many more hours to go in the event I had to continue the piece and during its evolution she lost her connection to it.
I was dissapointed to have sacrificed the sale and her connection to the work, but my creative integrity remained in-tact.
