I knew I wanted to make a painting that felt like you were being birthed. Something that was equally beautiful and transformational, but with balance and a certain level of sameness.

Stepping into the unknown- embracing a future of risks and unpredictable outcomes- is scary as hell. Unless you’ve been taught and seen examples of people who have walked through that ring of fire to find that the other side isn’t much different than where they stood before. Stories of bravery and courage leading to better than expected outcomes has always been my reminder to not dread what is unfamiliar or even risky. My art career started in this way, and I’m still here to tell the tale, aren’t I?
