This piece reminds me of a misty landscape in the time of morning when there is still fog in the valleys and the sun hasn’t quite shown its face. I imagine two knights or noblemen meeting atop some grassy field to fight for a matter of importance or defend one’s honor. The white feels to me like strikes of the swords and the sparks of metal on metal. This piece celebrates the excitement of the fight, not the victor.
