Abstract acrylic on canvas painting with bold swirls of purple, red, and blue over layers of white, brown, and yellow. Dynamic brushstrokes and textured layers create an energetic composition, blending warm and cool tones in this abstract artwork.

When I first painted this piece it was a yellow background with a person kneeling in worship of a heart, representing longing. It was shown once and then sat in my studio. After quite a bit of time, and a distraught phone call to a friend who advised me to take my emotions out on the canvas, I picked up may brushes and painting edger and worked new layers onto the painting. This time the energy was uplifting, encouraging and focused on myself. This large piece hides a woman’s face, which was a happy accident and fitting for the intention.
